Google mini can not connect to wifi.

Hi there

I got a home mini for years.  It sat in my garage for a while. And then I changed my phone and my wifi password. Now when I turn on it said "can not connect to wifi, go to Google home app to reset"

But my new phone with Google home app can't communicate with Google mini. Please help.
