Google mini nest will not save new name I give it, displays new name in the edit box but reverts to old name after I have selected save.

@Jake, I appreciate your help! Thank you.
@IkeTheSpike, Home app has released a new update that will resolve this. Kindly make sure that the app is on latest version for you to be able to update your device's name. If there are still no changes, reboot the Google Home Mini by unplugging it from the power source for at least a few minutes, re-launch the app and start to edit it.

Hi Princess, many thanks for the help. Checked my version and I have the latest except I get the message 'This version is no longer compatible with your device'. Gave it a try but it still didn't work.

Could you also provide the Android/iOS version of your phone? Also, if there is a way that you can try it using a different phone/tablet then that would be a better move so we can isolate it further.
Meanwhile, another option that we can try is to totally reset your Google Home Mini and check if it will make any changes. Let me know if you're up to this option so I can guide you.
