Google mini responding with delay /lag

I have been using 2 Google mini devices since more than a year at my condo. They're connected to multiple smart switches through Google home. 

About 10 or so days ago both devices started experiencing delays / lag when prompted with Ok google command. They listen and then take a while to respond or process the command be it turn on off switch or playing music or news. 

Reading through various suggestions online and in google community forums I have already tried the following 

1) reboot devices

2) factory reset both devices

3) delete room in google home and devices and add them again

4) plug out of power for several minutes before plugging back in

5) setup new google home on my wife's account. 

6) reset wifi and internet

7) delete and reinstall all smart switches. 

Not sure what else to try it's really sad to see my google minis in bad health.

Thanks so much. The issue is fixed. It was internet related. There was another moden device for internet in another room which which I missed.
