Google mini taking too long to respond

I have 4 google minis and a hub. One of these minis is taking forever to respond. It is not any further from the router than the others and they are all working just fine. I have checked the firmware and it is up to date just as all the others. I've also tried rebooting yet nothing seems to correct the issue. Any other suggestions?

Hi there!

I'm sorry to hear your Google Mini is lagging behind the others. Let's see what we can do to get it back up to speed.

  • Double-check Wi-Fi: While it might seem connected, a weak signal can definitely slow things down. Try moving the Mini closer to your router, or vice-versa. You can also check your router settings to see if there's any Wi-Fi interference.
  • Language settings: This is a bit of a lesser-known trick, but having a secondary language enabled can sometimes cause slowness. Head over to the Google Home app and see if you can disable any extra languages you might not be using.
  • Restart rodeo: Sometimes a good old tech reboot can work wonders. Try restarting both your Mini and your router to clear up any temporary glitches.
  • Factory reset your mini (as a last resort): If none of the above work, a factory reset might be in order. This will erase all your settings, so make sure to back them up first if you can.

Hopefully this helps!

Brandon.
