Google nest 1st gen black screen unresponsive

Hello my Google nest hib 1st generation started displaying the dark overlay oval  over my screen and I reset it and it worked for a while but oval came back and today I have the total black screen with two stripes in the right side one grey and one white.

I tried all the forum stuff and reset it and it was talking back but screen was still black. Now it is completely dead no response and when I try reset it it comes back to same unresponsive screen.


Have tried diff power and even another hub cable as I have two nest hubs. It did an update when j reset it and it seems to have completed the destruction of this product. Any ideas of how to connect back to it.

It's still unresponsive tried leaving it on and turning it off for a couple days each . 🥲

It was after following the reset instructions that it died completely before that it was just the screen .

Pretty bad that you can't restore the software or firmware. Manually .,

Hello support contacted me at a different email adddress to my gmail and are refusing to verify me or help me.

So Google wasted my time with various emails back and forth getting serial numbers etc and said they would replace it and finally said it was not their problem to contact the store I bought it from. The latest update completely destroyed my goggle nest hub and google take no response debility. Crappy customer service and no way to win any brand loyalty.
