Google nest - assistant not connecting after changing wifi

I have searched this topic and none of the answers in any of the threads are providing me any solutions. I have recently changed my wifi, and followed the steps to factory reset my nest mini to be able to connect to the new wifi. I’ve had this device for 3 years, and have changed wifi providers once before in this time, and not had this issue before when connecting to last new wifi. The Google home app picks up and connects to the nest, but when linking Google assistant im getting the following error message:

(kGSKError Domain error -83902.)

I’ve tried unplugging and plugging back in again, even left it unplugged for a few days, done a factory reset a few times, and none of these things are working. I am using the Google home app on iOS 17.1.2 (iPhone 13) and using a personal Google email address (same email address I’ve always used for this device). Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi Megan3,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

We're sorry to hear about this experience. I can also see that you are using an iOS device for your Google Home app. I suggest changing the default language to English US (from English AU or other English) as well as changing your Google account to English US and your assistant settings to Google US. Make sure that your iOS version is up to date.

Let me know if this step work.

Best,

Princess
