Hi,
My Google nest is connected to wifi and successfully linked through my Google home app. However when I am trying to use it it replies with an error message. Can you please help me sort this out? I have tried plugging it off and in to allow for updates, several times and still getting the error message.
Thank you
Danae

You could try removing your Nest Hub from the Google Home app, then doing a "factory reset" (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7073477?hl=en), and then reinstalling your Nest Hub in the Google Home app. We have done that with a couple of our Nest Hubs for other issues, and it doesn't take very long.

Hi,
Thank you for your response.
I have already done this and it displays the same error.

What error message does it display?

Hi, thank you for your response.
It says 'there is a problem and if the situation does not change you can try to fix the problem via the google home app. You can also try disconnecting and reconnecting the device...'.
I have tried both options and had no results.
Thank you,
Danae

Other than contacting Support (via this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp), I don't have any further suggestions.

Hey folks,
Thanks for reaching out.
@MplsCustomer, we appreciate all your help on this thread.
@Danae, how many Google Nest speakers are connected to your network? Also, how far is is from your router? Could you please send us a photo of the exact display you're getting so we can check on it further.
Looking forward to your response.
Best,
Princess

Hi,
Thank you for your response.
This is the only Google Nest speaker I am connecting to my network. I am staying in accommodation and I know other flats have managed to connect theirs (from the app I can see 3 other people have connected theirs). I am close to the router and I have a fast wifi connection (160Mbps).
Bellow, I have attached a screenshot of the Device information. On the app, it looks as if it is successfully connected.
Thank you, Danae

Hello everyone,
@Danae, checking back in — how's it going? If your issue still persists, please setup your Google Nest speaker using a mobile hotspot. Two phones are required for this: the first phone needs to have mobile data for the hotspot, while the second one will connect to it and setup the device. Once successful, test the unit to see if it works.
Fill me in with the results.
Kind regards,
Lovely
