You might want to check the Ambient EQ settings. You can toggle the settings off and that may help keep your display a bit brighter: Ambient EQ of your Google Nest display - Google Nest Help

The only settings would be brightness but that changes with the room and the EQ settings. See this older post. Google Nest Hub too dim in low light mode - Google Nest Community The Community Specialist asked that user to submit a feedback request.

Hey everyone,
@JillG, I appreciate the help.
Thanks for posting, @BrentVerleye. How is it going? I want to check if turning the screen brighter on your Google Nest Hub now allows you to see the clock display in your dark room. Let me know if you are still having issues so I can help you address them.
Best,
Lovely
