Hi Rhys3,

Thank you for posting. I'm sorry that the Motion Sense tab has disappeared from your Nest Hub 2nd Generation. I understand how frustrating it was when it was working fine, but now it doesn't show any more. Help's here.

We would like to check if the Nest hub has a bug for the software. Please try a soft reboot to refresh and isolate the issue. Please do the following:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your Nest Hub 2nd Gen.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Tap and hold your device's tile.
  4. At the top right, tap Settings, More, and then Reboot.

After you tried and still it doesn't work, please try to do the following:

  1. Unplug the power cord from your Nest Hub 2nd Gen.
  2. Leave it unplugged for one minute.
  3. Plug the power cord back in.

Let me know if you need more assistance.

Regards,

Byron

Hello @Rhys3

We are so happy to see you here! I apologize for all this inconvenience with your Nest Protect. Don't worry, I'm here to help you with that.

I really understand your current situation. Let me lend you a hand to find a solution. I suggest performing these troubleshooting steps on your Nest Hub to find the solution:

  • Check for Software Updates: Ensure your Google Hub is running the latest software version. Try saying "Hey Google, check for updates" to see if there are any pending updates.
  • Unplug your Google Hub from the power source, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in.
  • Make sure your Google Hub is placed in a location where it can detect motion effectively.

If these steps don't show any change, we can try to perform a Factory reset Google Nest Hub.

Feel free to reply to me with this information, and I will definitely do my best to find a solution for you.

Best regards,

Douglas.
