Google nest hub - grey screen white G

Google nest hub wont come off a grey screen with a white G? 
has been like it for a long time and cannot factory reset or recovery just ends up back at the same screen 

please help

No help. Just having the same issue.  Removed device via Home app. The device won't reboot or manually factory reset either.

@Jennapal, thanks for the help.

@Nadene, that certainly hasn't been easy for you ― are you using the  official power adapter? Do you have the 2nd Gen Google Nest Hub or the 1st Gen? Have you also tried other power outlets? What is the status of your Google Nest Hub screen? It would be of big help if you send us a short video showing the status of the screen.

Follow the steps below:

1. Check if they have the official power adapter that came with the Nest display.
2. Plug in the device to a different power source reboot the device.
3. If the issue persists, put the device in recovery mode with these steps:
   • Unplug the power cord.
   • Hold down the volume buttons and plug in the power cord at the same time.
   • Wait for the device to turn on.
   • Release the volume buttons.
4. Once the device is in recovery mode, attempt an FDR.
