Google nest hub music controls not working

Hello,

 

I have a speaker set as default on my Google Nest Hub. I always used to ask it to play some music on Youtube and then control with my voice with no problems. However, recently as soon as I play a song, the controls (Youtube) disappear from the display and none of the functions work (pause, change volume, next song, etc) and I have to manually turn of the speaker.

 

I tried restarting but this did not help. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand that your Google Nest Hub isn't displaying music controls after you've asked it to play a song from YouTube. I appreciate you trying to troubleshoot by restarting your device. I'm here to help!

To find the best solution, I have a few questions:

  • What's your Google Nest Hub's firmware version? Please check out the following link for your reference: Find your device's firmware version
  • Have you tried playing music directly on the Google Nest Hub itself (not on the default speaker) to see if the controls still disappear?
