Google nest hub not recording dog and cat

It picks up me and my girlfriend, but the main reason we have it up right now is because we got a new kitty. We had a dog for awhile and we’re a little concerned how they were getting along while we were at work. It records everything but them. Please help!

Thanks for posting here in the Community. 

You can turn on the Home monitoring for your Google Nest Hub Max so it can alert you when it detects any activity. If you have a Nest aware subscription, you can also turn on additional features and settings on your built-in Nest cam to detect the movements of your pets. Check out this link for more information.
