Hey Sandtonbach,

Thanks for posting — let see what's going on.

Are you trying to pair your Google Nest Hub and Google Home Mini or are you trying to create a speaker for them? Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router and connected to the same network.

Best,

Alex

Hi there, no it is still not working - I have the Google Nest Hub and two Mini Google Nest devices and want to know how to get them to play the same music simultaneously? I have looked on YouTube and apparently this can be done but I have followed the instructions but it still doesn't work?

I there, thanks for the response, I have checked on YouTube and apparently you can play the same music i.e. from YouTube and play thru all three Google devices but I have created a GROUP called "Home Group" and added all the three devices but it still does not play simultaneously?

Hey Sandtonbach,

Thanks for the update. To confirm, are you able to play music on your speakers individually? How far are your speakers from your router? What specific command and respond are you getting from your speakers when playing music in a speaker group?

Please try these steps below that may help us fix the issue:

  1. Move your Google Home and Nest devices within 15-20 ft. away from the router to get enough signal from your network.
  2. Reboot your speakers and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.
  3. Rename your speaker group. Make sure to assign a unique name for the speakers to recognize it immediately.

Keep us posted.

Muddi

Thanks, I will try this and revert ack to you - my three devices are within 10m of each other and all close to the Wi-Fi router - when I ask the devices to play thru the HOME GROUP the reply is I can't do this right now - I will try resetting everything and renaming a new HOME GROUP and will revert - thanks so much, will let you know.

Hi Muddi,

I did what you suggested and can now play all the devices when I listen to TuneIn but it will not play on YouTube? any ideas why?

Hey Sandtonbach,

Happy to hear that you are able play TuneIn on your speaker group. To confirm, are you trying to play music from YouTube Music or YouTube Video? What specific command are you using?

Keep us posted.

Cheers,

Muddi

I say - Hey Google, play YouTube Music, it then plays on my Mini Nest Hub and under MEDIA I can only see my Mini Nest Hub device, the other two devices no longer display - the same as when I say Hey Google, play YouTube Videos, I get the exact same result (no other devices are then showing)

Hey Sandtonbach,

Please note that YouTube videos are only supported in Nest Hub. For YouTube Music on speaker group, please use the keywords: " Play rock on YouTube Music to <group name>" For more information on how to play music on speaker group, please visit this link.

Hope this helps.

Muddi
