Google nest mini assistant has stopped working

  • A few days ago I started having a few issues with a few functions involving Google products. Assistant on nest mini no longer carries out any tasks (turn on lights, play music etc.) keeps saying there was a glitch and to try again. I am unable to cast video from my phones to chromecast, unless I turn off wifi, start video, then turn wifi back on + cast. I am also unable to re-connect a matter enabled light to nest hub v2. I have tried rebooting modem/router and all my Google products but to no avail. I don't know what else to try. Please help?

I know how challenging it is when you're having issues with your Google Nest Mini and Chromecast devices. Let's try to get to the bottom of this. A few questions: when did that issue start? How far are your devices from the router? Have you changed any settings on your network lately? What is the make and model of your router? What type of matter device do you have? Is it set up on the native app?

 

Let's try these steps below:

 

  1. Move your Nest Mini within 15-20 ft. of the router to get enough signal from your network.
  2. Reboot your Nest Mini and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leaving them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back in one at a time, at intervals.
