Google nest unlinking constantly (Part 3) - Sad ending

This is the final part of the Google Nest Unlinking saga, and I’m afraid it doesn’t end well, continuing on from Part 2 (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Google-nest-unlinking-constantly-Part-2...), an adventure filled with more tickets and multiple community threads later, 4 months following up….

 

  1. Google Support Closed my original ticket and opened a new one…for no reason, starting back from the very beginning with their basic questions (Case ID [7-0625000033715], I indicate to reference the notes already captured on the topic, they respond asking the same questions

 

It doesn’t matter where you ask on this Topic: Google Support, Google Communities there is NO RESOLUTION, there is NO FIX, this is a bug that Google is NOT FIXING anytime soon, please take my advice: If your Google Nest Device is unlinking please return it and get your money back and buy an Amazon Alexa device or something else

 

You would think, Google, the mighty Google, all data powerful Google….can’t provide very basic minimal support, keep asking the same questions…but probably know how long it took me to shower this morning.

 

This is the end of the saga and my Google hardware era, I liked the product, but if it breaks after a year and support is to this level….it’s not worth it

I read your post and I'm wondering if this is the same issue as I'm experiencing.

I opened your part 2 post which wasn't closed, so I'm not sure why this part 3 is here but I also read your part 1 opening post, by unlinking, do you mean disconnecting from the WiFi?

If yes, do you by any chance use WiFi 6? Google haven't been very forthcoming about this, it doesn't support WiFi 6.

Incredibly frustrating. This means they won't even work with their own WiFi mesh system if you switch on WiFi 6, according to their own Support

Hi Biggsyboi - This issue is related to my Google Account being constantly unlinked from the Nest device, the daily prompt is:  Please Log in via the Google Home.  So issues are different

Part 2 is open, but dead and no expectation of a response nor signs of resolution, hence Part 3

I agree, terrible support in general

Also, I can see that you were advised that our team is aware of the issue wherein the Nest Mini keeps on unliking on account. Please note that the team is still looking into the issue and you'll receive an update via email once the issue has been resolved. We also post updates on "Featured Post" here in the Community forum.

 

@Biggsyboi: I believe you also have an ongoing case with our team that is currently under review to give a better option for your concern.

Thanks Muddi, its been over 4 months and I see others complaining about the same issue for over a year......it doesn;t look like there will ever be a fix for this one....it does just seem like a simple bug (not a hardware defect) as the device works fine but on a daily basis the Google Account is unlinked from the device and you have to repeat the process everyday
