A day before i was able to play google podcast on my device. But after reset my device and re connect to my home app I can't play any google podcast. My Google nest mini is saying that, " either isn’t available or can't be played right now."

AnI also can't add google podcast as default podcast service. it automatically goes to No default provider.

Google Podcasts is going away at the end of July, so they've probably begun the shut down in small ways. This may be why you cannot access the Google Podcast app.

Hi @RisulShakil,

I understand it's frustrating that you can't play Google Podcasts on your Nest Mini after resetting it. It sounds like you were able to play podcasts before, but now you're getting a message saying they're unavailable or can't be played.

To help troubleshoot, here are a few things to check:

  • Default Podcast Service: You mentioned it keeps switching to "No default provider." Can you confirm if you've tried setting Google Podcasts as the default service in the Google Home app? Here's how.
  • Account Linking: While linking shouldn't be necessary if you already use Google Podcasts, have you tried relinking your Google account to the Google Home app? This can sometimes refresh the connection.
  • App Restart: Sometimes a simple app restart can resolve glitches. Close the Google Home app completely and reopen it.

Additional Information:

  • Device Model: Knowing the specific Nest Mini model (e.g., 2nd generation) might help narrow down potential issues.

Please let me know how you get on with these steps. If you're still encountering the issue after trying them, tell me the specific message you're getting and the model of your Nest Mini. This will help us explore further troubleshooting options.

Regards,

Josh
