Google says "resuming" followed by "noting playing"

When asking Google to play a song or artist, it responds "ok, resuming", then either just resumes the last played playlist or says "nothing playing right now". Does not play the new command.

Example: I have a speaker group named "all".

Me:  Hey Google, play Miles Davis on All

Google: OK resuming that on All.

Google:  Nothing is playing right now.

Just started a week ago after playing correctly for over a year.  Happens on every device, Google Max Speakers, nest and mini.

I've got exactly the same problem with playing radio on TuneIn. Worked without any problems for a long time and now since 1-2 weeks I can't play music 😢

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing this right now with playing music on your Google Nest speakers. Has anyone here already tried to perform a complete reset on your devices? Let's try first to reset your Google Nest speakers and set it up again. 

• Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays

As soon as it is done, set it up and let's see if this will fix the issue. Let us know how it goes.
