All of my Google Home speakers, displays and Nest Speakers have been acting so strangely starting about two weeks ago. Multiple speakers in different rooms and different floors all try to respond to the same question or command. This has never happened until recently. I didn’t change settings. In addition, a couple of speaker just start talking when no one is around. Request take longer. Timers often disappear. I’ve switch to using Siri on my phone for a lot of things. Siri is not great but at this point, it’s more reliable.

Hi flyfishmore,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your Nest speakers' concern. I'm committed to providing you with excellent customer service and will do everything I can to help you resolve this issue. A few questions: what Nest speakers and displays are we working with? Have you been experiencing any internet outages recently? Also, what steps have you taken so far?
Let’s try to refresh your devices and observe if it makes a difference. First, reboot your Wi-Fi router, and once the network is back up, do the same thing to your Nest speakers and displays.
Regards,
Juni

Hi
There have been no internet outages and that's not the problem. The issues are that they all are acting slow. In addition, with no changes to the settings, all 4 speakers across the whole house, upstairs, downstairs, kitchen, bedroom, all try to respond to the query. I can be two rooms away and they all try to respond. I recently try to decrease the sensitivity but that has not helped. Furthermore, without using a wake word, the certain speaker will respond to a random question. Sometimes even in Spanish. The reliability of these is seriously in question. So much so, my wife wants to get rid of them and is concerned about privacy issues.

Hi there,
Thanks for the details you’ve shared. Try the factory reset; this erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again. Check out the article below to know more about it.
Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays
Thanks,
Juni
