Harman/Kardon speakers not connecting to Google home

Hello! 
I have two Harman/Kardon speakers which have worked perfectly fine with Google home until recently. It started with one of them suddenly "fading out" the sound, and then snapping back in again. This just got worse and worse until it at the end never played any music, but it would respond when I "talked to it" (so if I asked "play music on Spotify", it'd reply "Playing music on spotify" but then just never started). If I asked it to play on both speakers, it would start the second one. 

I tried everything inc resetting and adding in to my Home again, but nothing worked. So I read somewhere that I should try separating my wi-fi (here I have no clue what I'm talking about hehe), so I did - and I now have two wifis named "5" and "2.4 GHz" resp. 

And after that, I had to redo my home. And now neither one of the speakers will connect. I have resetted, uninstalled my home app, restarted wifi etc but nothing works. It does find the speakers, and asks me if I want to setup a connection - so I say yes, but then nothing more happens. It's stuck in "connecting to speaker" forever. And even with the speaker that did work before! I have also tried connecting to the speaker's wifi itself through my phone, which works. 

So what can I do next? Why won't it work anymore?

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. 

Please note that we have very limited support on third party speakers with built-in Google Assistant like Harman Kardon speakers.  Since all basic troubleshooting steps have been exhausted, it is best to reach out to them for better assistance.

Speaking on behalf of our Google Home speakers and displays, your phone must be on the same WiFi network as your devices in order for you to set up the device. You can visit this link for more information.
