Is there any way to configure the Photo Frame within the Google Hub to get photos from a specific directory with my Google Drive?

Hi Andhanni,

Thanks for posting.

If you don't want to access the Google Home app to change your photos on your photo frame, you can simply say, "Ok Google, change photo frame". Make sure that your voice is registered to give you options on the display.

Let me know if this works for you.

Best,

Princess

Hi Princess:

Thanks for the information, but actually my question was more where are they pulling the pictures from?  I have noticed several that neither my spouse or I remember taking and cannot figure where they are coming from.  Any insight is appreciated as we want to capture them for scrap books and other items.

All the best,

Andhanni

Hi Andhanni,

Photos from your Google Nest display comes from Google Photos that uses the same account linked on your Google Nest speaker. When your Google Nest Hub or Google Nest Hub Max display isn't in use, it can quietly keep you entertained. You can add your favorite photos to Google Photos and display them in your Google Nest Photo frame. Alternatively, you can choose an existing art gallery or select from a variety of traditional and abstract clocks to show while your device is idle. You can also get notifications on your display about upcoming events, commute, reminders, flights and packages.

You can add or remove albums with the Home app or your Nest display.

Home app:

  1. Open the Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Photo Frame and then Google Photos.
  4. Select albums to add and deselect albums to remove.

Nest display:

  1. Say “Hey Google, change Photo frame.”
  2. Tap Google Photos.
  3. Select albums to add and deselect albums to remove.

Available albums include auto-selected albums like “Recent highlights,” your private Google Photos albums, and your shared albums that have a name.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Princess
