Home Mini Spotify restarts every song on spotify after 1 second when switching to the next song

Hi,

as the title states, whenever spotify switches songs, the new song does start new after 1-2 second, producing a cracking sound.

My mini is connected via BT to my stereo (bluetooth dongle from logitech). The dongle works perfectly, when connected to my phone or tablet.

The problem only occurs, when the mini (in combination with spotify) is used over BT.

Is this a known problem and can this be fixed on my side? Searching for that specific problem didn't get me any results.

Hi LeDoem

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. A few things: when did the issue start? How often does it happen? What troubleshooting steps have been done? Are there other nearby Bluetooth devices turned on? Are there nearby high voltage appliances or devices that use 2.4 Ghz?

To further isolate the issue try playing music using YouTube music. If the issue still happens reboot both devices then try to pair again. To pair:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Select the speaker that you would like to pair with your Bluetooth device.
  3. At the top-right, tap settings and then Audio and then Default music speaker and then Pair Bluetooth speaker.
  4. Tap the Bluetooth device you would like to pair, then select Done.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Juni
