Home Mini connection problems

I can see the home mini in the home app when setting up, but it won't connect to my router. My router recently changed as my internet provider sent a new unit, I have made sure it is set to 2.4Ghz.

Why does Google support send me here when there's no solution? Not even a reply?  WTF? Does Google hate their Nest users? It would seem so.

google home mini is the worst device i have ever used!never connect!

Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to follow up and see if you are still having issues with your device? I do have a couple of questions to ensure we can find the correct troubleshooting steps if the issue is still present.

 

  • How long did the device work before the connectivity issue started?
  • How was the connectivity issue discovered?
    Did the device give an audible error like:
    • “I can't reach the internet right now. Check your modem or router connection and try again.”
    • “I can't connect to the Wi-Fi network. You might want to check the connection settings in the Google Home app”

Please let me know, as I would be happy to assist you further, and ensure the device is connected.
