Home Mini found but cant get connected

I cant connect my older Home Mini witj the Home App. I should "activate" IT First nit the "device utility" App ist Not available for a Pixel 9.

 

I tried everything, several restarts, Back tobthe factory setting etc. Nothing works.

 

So what now?

I know this may seem obvious. Have you tried updating the app? Or if updated,  havr you tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of the home app?

seems to be update. And no, I didn't uninstall because I have several units connected with this app. I don't want to reconnect them all again just because of the mini ...

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing inconvenience setting up your Google Home Mini (1st gen) with the Google Home app, as it requires activation in the 'Device Utility' app first. However, the Device Utility app isn't available on your Pixel 9, and even after numerous restarts and factory resets, nothing has worked. I'm here to help! 

Since you're not getting the option to install the requested app from your Pixel 9 phone, have you tried setting up your Google Home Mini (1st gen) from a different phone, such as an iPhone or Samsung phone, to complete the device setup?

Hi Guys, from Google Home App, add device first to a room. Then add Assistant to Favorite. Go back to Settings, then you will see the device name. Touch on the device name, scroll down and you will see ''enable paring mode..."
