Home/Nest no longer announces doorbell ring from August

I have both a Nest Hub and a Nest Mini and neither play when my doorbell rings anymore, this stopped a few months ago. I see in the Google Home app that the option to announce the doorbell right is selected within the doorbell device that exists in my home however nothing happens. I'd unlinked and linked August back to google home and no change.
