I got a new modem and had to change my network and password. I reset and reboot my mini to add it to the new network but it will not add. I followed the steps as per the support page but nothing works. The mini connects to the phone and they can communicate but it cannot connect to the Wi-Fi. Can you suggest something? Please note that I have already done all of the things as prescribed in the support posts regarding this issue.

I’m sorry to hear the trouble you’re experiencing during setup. Let’s further look into it. A few questions: what’s the message you’re getting when connecting to the WiFi? Are you using a dual-band router? If yes, on which band are you trying to connect your Google Home Mini?

This certainly hasn’t been easy for you. I just wanted to confirm, you can’t find a “GoogleHome.XXXX” open network in your phone’s WiFi settings, is that right? Same as when using another setup device?

Sorry for any confusion, I did find the "GoogleHome.XXXX”. I tried connecting my mini the traditional way using my android, then I tried my ipad, then I tried using the GoogleHome.XXXX that showed up as a wifi connection and still no success. I am going to try it from on a different wifi network to see if there is a block or something

Hi there,
Thanks for the update. You can try connecting your Google Home Mini to a temporary Hotspot. You need to have 2 setup devices for this.
