Home speaker will not stream XM for more than a minute or two

Speaker worked fine until today. Now when we try to stream an XM Channel it cuts out after a few minutes. I have rebooted the speaker and the router with no success. I wish I could tell you what speaker I have but it doesn't say and the app won't tell me. I read on a number of posts go to media in the app yada yada yada. There is no icon for media in my app. Please help. I have married my XM account with Google so the phone doesn't play a part in this little dance.

Hi Elrogg,

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with?  Were there recent changes? What is the error message?

Thank you for doing some troubleshooting steps but, it would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Once done, reinstall the Google Home app and if the issue persists, revert your speaker to its original settings and set it up again by doing a factory reset. Depending on the device you have, here’s how. You might also want to reach out to SiriusXM if there are updates happening for us to narrow things down.

Tell me how it goes.

Best,

Dan
