How do I UK and local news instead of always Australia

Whenever I ask for the news it gives me Australian news. I'm in Widnes North West UK.

Thanks for reaching out. That is definitely odd to have your device give you news from another country. I understand your concern and would be more than happy to help find a solution to this issue. First, I have some questions.

  • Just confirming, do you have the correct address listed in the Google Home App?
  • Do you have the updated address on your actual Google Account?
  • Is your device powering on and working normally besides this issue?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps to the Google Nest Hub device itself? If so, what have you tried so far?

 

Just a friendly reminder, here are the steps to change the home address of your devices

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. At the top, make sure your home name is listed. If needed, tap the name to change your home.
  3. Tap Settings  and then Home information and then Home address​.
  4. Enter your address and then Save.

Note: When you change the home address, it will only affect the devices in the home you selected. You can edit or delete this address at any time.
