How do I cancel a scheduled broadcast message on my Google Wifi system?

I don't know how I managed to create an obnoxious message that repeats every night. this is on my Google wifi network points... and everyone hates me because it's so annoying. I do not know how to stop this broadcast. Whenever the announcement starts, I have to yell at Google to stop, but that only works for whatever wifi point I'm closest to.  The rest of the wifi points make the announcement, then I get yelled at by humans.  Please help.

Hi, MHB1954.

Sorry for the late reply here, but I wanted to check in and see if you were still having this issue. If so, let me know and we can look at what is going on and sort it together.

Thanks.

Hi, Jeff,

Oh, yes, please help. I listen to this broadcast every night and my household screams at me because it's so annoying. I vaguely recall how I created it, but I've looked all over and cannot determine how to delete/stop it. When I yell at Google and tell her to stop the announcement or stop the broadcast, she responds by saying "nothing is playing right now," which is incorrect. It drives us nuts.  Thanks!!!

Hey, MHB1954.

You most likely have a routine set up. Here's a link that will walk you through how to edit any existing routines. If you get into that part of your settings and don't see any routines present, let me know and we can check other causes. Here's that link: https://bit.ly/3AgK8P7

Thanks.

Hey, MHB1954.

I'll be happy to help. Did you already verify whether or not you have any routines set up in your Home app?

Thanks.

Hi, Jeff,

Thanks for your messages. I did not refresh my screen before I sent the last, most recent "heads up" message to you, sorry. But I did just now go through the items you suggest, and I do not see any routines on my app. Even under custom routines, there is nothing there. Thanks!

Ok, thanks for verifying that for me MHB1954. I'll take that info to an internal team and we can start looking deeper into what's happening.

Thanks.

Do I need to do a factory reset on my system and just re-set up the whole thing? That seems draconian but I need to fix this soon. Thank you, Mark

HELP???????????????????

I've got the exact same scenario as MHB1954.   I setup this daily, broadcasted message a few months ago and now can't figure out how to stop it. And I really don't know how I it set it up.  I've searched and searched for anything online regarding this, but have not found anything that matches my situation, until this thread.

Hoping someone figures this out.

Ok, after many attempts at this, I finally figured out my situation.

In the Google Assistant settings==>All settings, there is a feature called Family Bell.   My announcements were listed there where I could easily delete and modify.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Oscar1, you are my HERO! It's not intuitive to find Family Bell on android, but I searched and discovered the obscene messages that I was broadcasting every night at 8pm.  I deleted them and now no one will yell at me for that (they'll think of something else, surely). 😉 THANKS!

Good to hear that oscar1 was able to help you out, MHB1954. I'll file that fix away for future use as well!

Before I mark this as resolved, is there anything else you needed, or are you all set?

Thanks.
