How do I disable voice feedback on google nest?

Hi, I think we all know what I am talking about.

I switched back to the competitor because they make it SO EASY to change the voice feedback after a request into a soft beep.

Why is this taking so long? It has got to be such a HUGE topic in your work, Google.

Please help us out or people will keep getting frustrated, switching to other assistants or won't even buy this product.

Cheers

It's strange because our minis seem to randomly do this from time to time. Our preference is for the bedroom speaker to not produce extraneous sounds and it wasn't doing so for a long time then began producing those sounds again. We have no idea what parameter changed or why not how to return it to our preferred behavior.

Hi folks,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Did you mean the sound it produces after you say the command "Hey Google" or "Ok Google"? If yes, you can change that through accessibility settings. Here's how:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home.
  2. Select "Devices".
  3. Tap in the "Settings" icon.
  4. Select "Accessibility".

Let me know if this works for you.

Best,

Princess

Hey Princess,

No, I do mean when you say "hey google, turn living room off" and it replies "Ok, turning 3 lamps off." (I don't know the exact words in english since I use German.) I dont want it to talk to me after my command.

Competitors in the field of home devices give you the opportunity to turn of those voice replies and only play a chime. This is the thing I am hoping for.

Do you know a status for that from the development?
