How do I force Google to answer questions in voice instead of display?

When I ask simple questions like "When does X_________ store close" I want Google Assistant to tell me by speaking the answer to me, not force me to use the display - which is across the room half the time.  

Google Assistant is wasting my time and I am using it less and less.

Our Nest Hubs speak the answer to a question about a store's closing time (as well as displaying the closing time) unless it's a chain store like Target or Lowe's and I don't name the specific store.
