Hey Spdeol20,
Sorry once again for the late reply. If you are having trouble with the screen brightness, I would recommend double-checking the Ambient EQ. This can be done by following the steps below. Please let me know if that helps, or if the screen is still too dark.
Best regards,
Jake

Yes, I have to same problem. I want to be able to see the time in the middle of the night when the room is very dark. The stupid Nest Hub turn its the display off. I tried to wave my hand still nothing. The only way I can turn the display on is either say "Hey Google" or wake up and touch the screen or turn on the light.
I did set the Nest Hub display setting to "Light" mode but still not working.
This is so bad.....

I just want the nest hub to always show the clock at all times. Even when the room is totally dark.
Right now, the hub will auto dim the clock so low until I cannot see the time when I wake up in the middle of the night.
Only way to wake it up is to say "hey Google". But I don't want to wake my wife up who is sleeping next to me by saying "hey Google"
