I bought this speaker so my child can play spotify on it. I have tried multiple different tutorials so far and have found no way to connect her spotify account to the speaker. Is this possible? I am feeling like i should have just bought her the kid's Alexa speaker. It shouldn't take hours of searching and digging for something this simple.

At this point, when i go into FamilyLink, it cant seem to find any devices. I am on the same wifi network as the speaker. Google Home shows the speaker. But FamilyLink just cant find it whatsoever. I've already tried unplugging the speaker and plugging it back in. I've already tried to unplug my (google) router and plugging it back in. Nothing works

Hi thisisvlad,
Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with the FamilyLink that is not seeing the Nest speaker that you are trying to use with your child's Spotify account. I understand how frustrating it can be when things do not work as expected. I appreciate the steps that you try to solve the situation.
Let me tell you that just one Spotify account can be set up in your Google Home app. Since you are able to see the Google Nest Speaker device on the Google Home app but not on FamilyLink, the best recommendation is to give our friends at Google For Families Help a shout. They're the best team to help you find out what's happening with this situation.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Best regards,
Jenny

Hi @thisisvlad
The only way to achieve this is for your child to have their own Google account (one that is not a family link managed account), as well as their own Spotify account. The speaker must be setup with their Google account, not setup with your account. More details from Spotify below.
Using Spotify Family with young kids and Google Ho… - The Spotify Community
Once setup, your child will be able to control the speaker and Spotify media playback using the Google Home app.
