How set default volume on Google Home speaker?

When I ask my Google Home speaker to play music, say from Spotify, it always starts at level 6 (?) but I always want it at level 8 so I have to turn it up. How do I set the default volume to 8? Thanks

Hey sfogel2,

Good question! Currently, there's no option to set a default volume for your Google Home speaker. Your device should stay on the same volume unless someone changes or adjusts it from the Google Home app or via voice command. Could you tell us how often it happens? Also, is it happening to all songs and music services like YouTube Music?

Hi, Muddi…

Sorry but the volume doesn’t stay where I put it. I set it to level 8 for music, but then the next time I ask it to play music on Spotify, the level resets to 5 or 6.
