How to play Spotify through another device apart from Google Nes

Hi,

I have just set up a Google Mini Nest which is working great for everything I want except my music.

I currently have my Spotify account on an old phone which feeds through to my entertain system. The entertainment system basically consists of  a bluetooth speaker to which my Spotify streams. When I have set up the Google nest, it has now started to play through the Nest speaker instead of the original speaker.

I would like to be able to say "OK Google play Spotify" and this kick in the Spotify on the phone rather the Nest speaker.

If anyone is having the same issue as have. I have found the solution. Very similar to the one described by Juni, maybe it has changed during the updates etc.

  1. Open Google Home App
  2. Locate your Nest device (Whether you access through Favourites tab or the Devices tab, doen't matter)
  3. Open the Nest Device
  4. Open the Settings page of the Nest Device
  5. Under Device Features there is an Audio setting. Open this.
  6. Then under the General heading Click on the Default music speaker.
  7. The next screen allows you to connect your Bluetooth speaker.

Hi nshaw75,

Thanks for reaching out. You can connect your Google Nest Mini to your Bluetooth speaker. Check out the helpful link below to know more about it.

Play music on Bluetooth speakers or headphones

HiJuni,

Unfortunately my Google Home does not represent anything referred to within this help guide. Although the Settings are now on a separate, there is no setting for Audio. I cannot find any reference to adding Bluetooth devices either. I Have found settings to do with speakers but they only refer to the already connected Nest.

Unfortunately I am not privileged enough to upload a screenshot to show you.
