Hello everyone,
Does anyone have any tips on how I can start stream Beats Radio by Klassik Radio on the Nest Hub? There are a few streams on TuneIn called "Beats Radio" and a wrong one always plays.
Is there any way I can use a unique stream identifier? The URL seems to contain one.
A tunein frontend on the nest Hub would of course be the very best option, but unfortunately that does not exist
Thanks in advance
Michael

Hi @MikeSt_HH,
Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're trying to stream "Beats Radio by Klassik Radio" on your Nest Hub, but it's playing the wrong stream from TuneIn. You're looking for a more precise way to access your preferred station.
It's a common challenge when multiple stations share similar names. While a full TuneIn frontend isn't available on the Nest Hub, we can often be more specific with voice commands or leverage other features.
Here are a few tips on how you can try to start your desired stream more accurately:
Be More Specific with the Voice Command:
Instead of just "Hey Google, play Beats Radio," try including the full name or the distinguishing part:
"Hey Google, play Beats Radio by Klassik Radio on TuneIn."
"Hey Google, play Klassik Radio Beats on TuneIn."
"Hey Google, play the exact station Beats Radio by Klassik Radio on TuneIn."
If the station has a call sign or specific frequency mentioned on TuneIn, try incorporating that: "Hey Google, play [Call Sign/Frequency] on TuneIn."
Use the Google Home App to Cast:
Open the TuneIn app on your phone or tablet.
Find "Beats Radio by Klassik Radio" in the TuneIn app and start playing it.
Look for the Cast icon (a rectangle with a Wi-Fi symbol).
Tap the Cast icon and select your Nest Hub from the list of devices.
Create a Custom Routine in the Google Home App:
You can set up a routine with a custom voice command that specifically targets the correct stream.
Open the Google Home app.
Tap Routines.
Tap the "+" sign to create a new routine.
Under "Add starter," choose "When I say to my Assistant" and enter a unique phrase like "Play my special Beats Radio" or "Play Klassik Radio Beats stream."
Under "Add action," choose "Play media" and then select "TuneIn." You might be able to type in the exact name of the station as it appears in TuneIn's directory.
I hope these tips help you consistently stream "Beats Radio by Klassik Radio" on your Nest Hub! Please let me know which of these options works best for you.
Regards,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for your detailed answer. Reading this, I thought point 3 would be the solution. But unfortunately, it doesn't work. I can't select "Play media - tunein." "Play Radio" is the option. And then I run into the same old problem when naming the station.
It's really strange that there's no option to play streams by ID. Voice control isn't always the best option.
Regards
Michael
