How to scan pictures in Photo Frame

Maybe it's only my quest, but I spent hours on the web to find out how to scan pictures in the Photo Frame mode after I set it up in Google Photos. Forgive my illiterate, but nobody show that.

It turns out so simple: in the Photo Frame screen, if you swipe from the right, you will enter the Nest contents. If you swipe from the left, you will scan the pictures in the photo set. Nest gives you not all pictures, it ends with the clock screen.

So far I've found no way to move items showed in the display forward or backward in order. Some will popup in the first place after you use it, and some you can dismiss (if you have this option when holding the item). I like the Nest shows the weather in the first place (on the left of the screen) in the menu "Your Morning" but couldn't do that. The only way is tapping the weather icon at the bottom of the screen.
