How to stop Google Nest Hub from switching away from Clock Face?

Rarian_Rakista

If I want to use any of the other features of Nest I will ask it.

I have ADHD and the completely random switching away from the Clock Face is hurting my ability to focus at work and school to the point where I put a cloth over the face of the Google Nest whenever I am in the room so it does not switch away from the Clock Face.

Is the only solution to cover up the light sensing diode so it goes into night mode?  Why should I even have this device if I can't use it without it hurting my ability to focus?

Hello Rarian_Rakista,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

I know how it feels when you lose focus on the things that you need to do. Below are the steps that may help us fix the issue:

  1. Make sure the mobile device is linked to the same account as the Google Nest display.
  2. Open the Google Home App.
  3. Select the Nest Hub display.
  4. At the top right, tap Settings > Display.
  5. Locate the Auto-brightness offset slider.
  6. To increase the brightness, move the slider to the right (Brighter).
  7. To decrease the brightness, move the slider to the left (Dimmer).

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi
