How to stop conversation mode

Mr_C

Situation:

I'm listening to music and my wife has a question so I say "OK Google pause" so I can hear the question but now Google is trying to answer the question, incorrectly I might add because I'm the one who should be answering not Google.

So my question is how do I turn it off?

As a side note I have tried to double up on questions so far Google ignores me unless I say "OK Google" first for each addition.  So my conclusion is this feature only "works" when it's the most annoying.

Try these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Settings > Google Assistant > Manage all Assistant settings.
  3. Scroll down and tap Continued Conversation.
  4. Tap the toggle to turn the feature off.

Thanks for the response but I'm not seeing that setting.

I've got

▪️Settings

▪️Google Assistant

And no further matches.

You don't see this screen when you tap "Google Assistant" in Settings?

It was the next screen where I had to press

▪️View all settings

That was not on your orrignal list and visually different then everything else so I missed it first time around.

So I got it now.

Perhaps a minor difference between Android and iOS then which I'm using. Glad you got it sorted.
