Hub Max display does not stay on.

Hello,

I just purchased a nest Max and cannot figure out how to keep the display on.  On my other devices, you can always see something, either pictures or the clock. On this device it goes black. If I touch it, or speak to it, it will light up.  I tried resetting, and changing the ambient light settings, I also tried switching what it displays (photos, art gallery, clock). Nothing seems to work.

Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is this defective?

Thx!

You've probably checked this already, but in the Google Home app, under Settings | Display, you don't by any chance have "Screen timeout" turned on, do you?
