Hub is displaying wrong work location.

This is driving me insane. I have never worked at the place it tells me I should be commuting to every day. I have worked from home for over 5 years, and I have checked my account repeatedly. Under "Your places" it shows work as my home address. If it was at least sending me to somewhere I had worked before I could probably just ignore it, but I have never worked where it shows me. It isn't a giant deal to me personally other than driving me insane not being able to fix it, but still it is a function/feature that shows up every morning when the hub sees me. I sit at my desk and it tells me my commute to work is about 30 mins and gives me the directions. I am literally at work.

Steps I have taken is removing the work address all together, removing and re-adding it to my home address, giving feedback to google that the info is not good, and confirming that my account is the only account signed in and used for the home devices. I don't think it would even bug me this bad if someone in my household worked at this place, but no one does, or has ever. Is there anything I can do beyond what is in the settings? it does it on all 3 of my hub devices, so I am assuming it is somewhere in my account that isn't readily available.

Hi BananaG3,

I really appreciate you doing those steps before posting. You were right in checking under “Your Places” first so we can narrow things down. While we’re at it, please go ahead and open your Home app and go straight to settings. Choose Home information then home address. Edit the address that you see there or remove it.

We can also refresh the link between your phone, router and your 3 Nest Hub’s by doing a sequential reboot. Unplug the power cord from your router followed by your 3 Nest Hubs. Restarting your phone might also help.

Tell me how it goes.

Best,

Dan
