I can't cast audio from my phone to Google home max anymore

I have a Google Home Max and a Pixel 6. I used to be able to cast audio files + audio from YouTube Videos to my Google Home Max. I can't do this anymore, as it keeps disconnecting after 5 seconds.

What I do:

Turn on Google Home app > click on my speaker > click "Cast my audio"

I hear the connecting sound, but it always disconnects in 5-ish seconds after. To be clear, audio from Spotify + my podcast app still works. Audio from YouTube + audio files DO NOT WORK

1) I've tried resetting the Google Home Max speaker

2) I've tried enabling Mic Access on Google Play Services on my phone

3) I've tried factory resetting the phone

Anyone encountered/solved this?

Hello CalanE,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

Please note that casting a YouTube video is only supported on Google Nest display. You can only cast music from cast-enabled apps like YouTube Music or Spotify on any Google/Nest speakers that don't have a screen. As an alternative, you can connect your phone to your Home Max via Bluetooth. Click here to learn more.
