I have 5 Google nest mini and hub

Ok , I thought this would be easy, I was wrong, lol Awhile back (couple months ago, I bought2 nest minis and one nest hub. I spend most of my time in my shop so I put the hub there and a nest in my garage and set them up on my router, which gets internet from a ethernet cable to the house. so two different networks.  Only problem I had was occasionally if I told google to set a timer while I was in the garage. the timer would go off on my hub in my shop? No biggie. The other nest mini I put in kitchen of house and connected to house internet. Still no problems. Then for xmas I bought one for my stepson, one for my wife and one for living room, all nest minis. sometimes if my stepson tells his google to turn off his lights, they turn off in my shop ! Very annoying if Im painting, lol I made sure his was one the moms google account which would be on the house internet, but last night google turned off my lights for no reason, lol My step-son swears he didn't tell his to turn off his lights, but I'm confused now. Is there a way to separate them or I should say Isolate them? so that the ones on my account will only respond? Or is this impossible since they are all basically on the same internet just two routers? Thanks

It sounds like you have a few things going on. Your garage and shop must be close enough that both units can hear you at the same time. Timers can only be set on the responding device. Make sure everything thing is in a room.  Home devices not in a room, or in a room with no lights to control "may" cause some issues because they don't know what lights to turn off. Being you have ethernet between house and shop use should consider a wifi mesh so that everything is on the same wifi network. If you go with a mesh system pay attention to how it will integrate with your current network. Some will allow you to use you ISP router to control your entire network addressing and some will not.
