I would like youtubemusic on my Google Nest to never play a music video ever for any reason. Play songs, not videos.
I'm very very close to canceling my subscription and also throwing my devices in the trash can. this is so annoying
Help.
Setting the option in the app on my phone to not play videos has no effect on the nest device

Also, please do not tell me to "Ok Google, play <song title> from YouTube Music". IT STILL PLAYS VIDEOS! I DO NOT WANT A VIDEO.

Cool, thanks for no replies and no help. My youtube premium subscription is going to be canceled and these idiotic devices are being turned off. What a waste. The potential is there but Google insists on cramming crap down our throats instead of actual value.
F u youtube music videos. So dumb.

This does not help. I already stated that I have the option in the app off for videos. It has no effect on the nest device. Still plays videos.
Why would youtube MUSIC ever play videos?? Such an annoying feature for it to play videos.

What world do you live in where you think "playback and restrictions" is an option within settings??
Are you talking "data saving" and then "don't play music videos"?

Hi there,
I appreciate all your effort in trying to take some steps. Let's perform a complete reset on your Google Nest speaker and see if this will make any difference. Here's an article on how to perform a complete reset.
Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Juni

Here's the steps I took
Thanks for cramming music videos down everyone's throats that don't want them. Adios Google. Your device is terrible, youtube music is terrible, the support is terrible, the people in this "community" can't even provide instructions with accurate/up to date device settings.
