Hi community,
I have an older model h1A nest and, recently, I had to move its wifi assignment. I was able to, initially, change the wifi but then it began an update cycle where it downloaded a firmware update and then went into the endless reboot loop that others had reported.
Unfortunately, I followed someone's suggestion to reset it but multiple unplug/replugs and it now is stuck in "Recovery mode". If I do the 10 second reset with both volume keys, it reboots but comes back to the recovery mode screen.
Is there anywhere that had instructions and a firmware image to allow a "local" reload of the firmware to get the unit operational? (I found the USB port on the bottom and I'm happy to try to reload it myself as, in its current state, I couldn't make it any worse.)
Any information and documentation/download sites would be appreciated.

Hi there archie400,
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
It's certainly not ideal to not be able to use your Nest Hub to its full extent. Let's get you back on track.
Unfortunately, there isn't currently a way to flash a Nest Hub using a USB port. However, since your Nest Hub doesn't seem to get past the recovery mode, I would suggest filling out this form. Filling out this form will allow us to get more information about your Nest Hub directly.
Once you've filled out the form, please let me know. I will keep an eye out for your response, and a member from my team will reach out to you directly so we can determine the best course of action.
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Angel.
