RadioApp will not load on my Nest Hub Max. Other nest devices in the same household are fine.
Has been working fine, but stopped within the last week or so. Responds to my voice command "Play 3AW' but then the loading process freezes. Other radio services seem fine (iHeartradio) works on the Hub max, but RadioApp does not.
Contacted Google support via email ... the suggested the usual reboot and update solutions ... no change. Opened a chat to Google support, nothing additional to help, but they did suggest to open a Feedback on the issue through the Google home app. When enough people report the same issue, it gets the attention of the next level support people, who should be able to resolve the issue.
** UPDATE **
This is a Google issue ... probably a bug in a recent firmware upgrade that you have no control over.
If you are on firmware level 26.20250116.103.2201 you will probably have the problem.
It is a worldwide issue for Nest Hub devices. Google are aware and some users in the UK have recently reported their problem has been fixed. Hopefully just a matter of time before they roll the fix out to us in Australia ... keep checking.
** UPDATE 2 **
Working here in Melbourne on Friday 2nd May at 9:45am. Was not working at 6:45am.
Seems ok for 3AW , 2GB , 6PR , ABC , GoldFM , Smooth FM , Nova , KIIS ...
... but not for MMM , MMM Classic Rock , FOX FM , 3MP . That is all that I quickly tried.
Interesting is that my firmware level has not changed for my Nest Hub Max. This suggests that there might have been as issue in RadioApp that they are progressively fixing up.
We will probably never know the root cause of the problem, but let's hope they get ALL the stations back ASAP.
yesterday
We have the same problem in Canada also. No longer can play radio stations on Nest Hub. All I can do is cast the station from my phone to the hub. Not good. When will it be fixed.

Hello Chris.
Looks like there is a fix, at least for some in the U.K. Still not working in Melbourne AUS. The waiting continues.
Take a look at the update in the post at the top of this thread.

Spot on Steve, we are still waiting. Not sure how we seemed to be the first to report, yet not yet receiving an update. Who knows how these things work!
But that Chris is the workaround. Use your phone and cast to the Hub's, that provides trouble free listening all day. Even leaving the house with the phone and coming back the Hub's keep streaming. This is the weirdest error ever.

I am having an issue with my speaker I ask it to play a specific radio station and it won’t play it started about a week ago

the problem is with Google. Radio App is the app used by a lot of stations and i contacted them. They said they are working with Google to fix it. It's a world wide outage and only affects certain models
Monday
Radioapp has just stopped working on all my Google speakers and displays. Have rebooted and reinstalled google nest and still not working although Google says streaming. It glitches and then goes to radioapp logo
Has been going on for a couple of days now. I am in Melbourne.
Monday
about a week ago iHeartRadio stop playing on display devices. Other speakers are working fine. I rebooted reconnected reconfigured. Try to play it from the iPhone same thing it doesn’t work.
Monday
This has also happened to me. All 3 google home speakers in Sydney. Did factory reset on all and reinstalled google home before setting up each device. ABC radio works but no others. Indications show 2GB casting to device after hey google command but no sound from thus or other stations tried. All volume ok. Can cast from phone radio spp but only one device at a time. Tried everything.
Tuesday
I am having exactly same problem on NSW coast. Haven't got past RadioApp for last 4-5 days. Can't find any help or answers. Have you had any success?
Tuesday
I have exactly the same problem in Melbourne!

Hi Ingrid
I wrote/emailed to 2GB and asked them and they said yes there was a problem and 'they' are working on it and hopefully will resolve it asap. It was driving me crazy and starting thinking it was something to do with the NBB. I guess we just have to be patient.
Tuesday
Radio stations no longer playing via radioapp on Google nest home. Was working yesterday and last night. Not receiving any fault messages though?!
Have plugged and unplugged twice however still not working. Also doesn’t work on the other mini nest speakers. I’m in Sydney
Wednesday
Hello,
To everyone on this thread, there is a lot more info and discussion on this one ...
yesterday
Mine too. There's obviously an issue and I keep getting Google notifications saying they've fixed the issue, but they haven't. I wish they would!
yesterday
The issue is with google- it's affected radio app with latest update for certain models. Radioapp said they are working with Google to fix it
Monday
I am aware others seem to have had the same issue. Anyone had anything that helps? I ask Google to play a song or play a particular radio station and it says 'sure' and seems to suggest it will play it then it says 'something went wrong' or on the display it says 'an error occured'. I have tried all the tips- rebooting, turning WiFi on and off, factory reset. Reboot solves the issue briefly then shortly after it's back to how it was. I have also tried removing from the home app and reinstalling but now cannot re add one of the nests at all! It just will not find it! I've emailed support and no joy. Someone must've got some solution?! It's infuriating!

I have changed to Alexa with trouble at all

Hi
Since approx. last Thursday, I noted that both my Google Nest Max and Nest Hub 2nd gen no longer stream radio stations via Global Player.
Try saying ' Hey Google, stream LBC". It momentarily looks like it's going to stream but then switches to the Global Player logo for approximately 30 seconds, then closes.
Please can you investigate.
Thanks
Monday
I'm having the same issue.
Monday
Can't see a way to report it to Global. They'd get twitchy if listeners couldn't play. Ad rev etc
Tuesday
I have the same issue with displays. Will not play Global player, or Rayo, will not cast apps like SoundCloud. I've tried a fresh reboot and install, no change.
However ask the mini to play them and it works!
Seems to be just the display hubs.
Tuesday
Radio app no longer works on nest devices when asking google to play. The app responds but no audio. Then checking the status on google home and it says it’s casting. I contacted a local Sydney radio station to find out if they knew and said there was an issue and “they” were working on a fox asap. ABC radio sydney is the only station that works?
Wednesday
Update : I tried, Google play LBC this morning and it works. See if it's been fixed for you all. Thanks!
Wednesday
Not yet Areski however radioapp screen looks to have progressed but still no audio on radio connection. Did you have to restart or reset factory settings?
Wednesday
Hi Tony. No, I haven't touched a thing. I am in the UK and this is on the Google nest max. I did a search on Reddit and loads of people have or had this issue. There is a message from Google saying it's been fixed. Hopefully it will roll out to you soon. I am not sure if my firmware etc has been updated. There is no date.
Wednesday
Hello to all on this thread.
This turns out to be most likely a worldwide Google firmware issue.
Lots of info and discussion on workarounds and fixes that appear to being rolled out in the UK.
yesterday
The issue is with an update from Google that has affected radio app. Have been told by radioapp they are working with Google to fix it.
Monday

, it starts to load, fails, and shows a generic audacy icon.
any one have some sort of of solution to this
Monday
I have the same issue. Very frustrating
Monday
I have the same problem with 3aw and 6pr radio. But plays other stations. Since Friday this has been the problem
Monday
Radioapp doesn't play any station. Started about 4 days ago. Works on my other google devices just not my nest hub.
Tuesday
I have the same problem and it is very annoying. It was even mentioned on 2GB this morning. I have contacted Google as 2GB stated they will follow up and as well, I also emailed the RadioApp people direct ( it's Australian ), to no avail. as of this stage. Resetting the Google Nest device of storage & cache does not clear the problem.
I would point out I have no trouble streaming Radio with Amazon Alexa devices at this point.
Tuesday
I resetted all my google nests and none work on 3aw 2gb 6pr.seems to be the only stations that don’t work on mine. I listen to sen Melbourne and Perth sen and no problems.
thanks for your info and I hope they can fix it.

Wednesday
Same here and of course, that is my Google Nest firmware !
But after 6 days, it's wearing a bit thin.
Wednesday
I might add to those who can manage it ;
Open the station you want on a phone App and then Cast it to your Google Nest device. They both must be connected to the same Wi Fi network. It's the little square with 3 rising waves from the bottom left hand cnr, usually on the top or near the bottom of the Station App page. Hope this helps
Wednesday
Yes thanks I’ve been doing this with the stations I can’t access. Thank you
yesterday
I've been playing my stations through Tunein. Just ask google to play them through that app. Quick fix until they get this sorted.
yesterday
Hi, tried that to no avail.
