Since 2 weeks I can't add items to my shopping list via my Nest Audio. When I say 'add <item> to my shopping list' Google responds with a recipe of that <item> (90% of my requests). I use my Nest Audio with the Dutch language ('voeg <item> toe aan mijn boodschappenlijst'). I have used the Google Home mini before and never had this issue.
There seems to be a bug at the Google processing side.

Problem has been fixed by Google (30 March 2022). Netherlands/Dutch language. Thanx!

Came here for the same problem, also using Dutch language. I have it on more than 1 device.
I really hope someone knows how to solve this because we really use the shopping list a lot here!

Same issue here, also using Dutch audio…

Same here, also in the Dutch language. Almost always recipes show up when trying to add items to shopping list. Started about 2 weeks ago, worked fine before. Please fix it Google ...

Facing the same problem here. Dutch language and a recipe every time when trying to add an item to the list. Problem for every voice user

Same here, it is painfully annoying!
Also using the dutch language

Is someone from Google support actually reading these issues and taking action to solve this 'bug'?

Same problem here. I was a great fan of the Google assistent, but not anymore. The assistant is regressing instead of progressing. Basic functions suddenly stop working and almost no new functions are introduced. Only the lack of Dutch is keeping me from switching to Alexa.

Same problem here! It works when i combine English with Dutch (hey google put kaas on my shopping list). Then google responds in Dutch (ik heb kaas op je boodschappenlijst gezet).

Same problem in dutch.

Same issue seems to have started here a few days ago. Something seems to be broken.

Same here

Same here same problem in dutch, only recipe, and every now and then it seems to work, but a second later its the same problem again.

In the mean time I submitted this issue to Google Nest support, and they asked me to make a video of me asking my Nest Hub to add something to the shopping list (and see the recipes in response). So far I submitted 2 videos (apparently they had trouble opening the first) and have yet to hear back.
I tried to point them towards this forum so they could see that many people have this problem, but that really didn't land with this guy... he kept insisting he'd only look at my device. I'm not hopeful, but I hope you all do the same thing (create a support ticket) and this ends up with the right people.

Same here. Google doesn't read along en keep denying they f%cked up.....

Same issue here for the german and english language. Already recondigured the setup and addes several new lists with different names. Nothing worked, quite frustrating, since this is one of the most used features of mine.

Frustrating indeed, this is a perfectly handy function and they've ruined it! Shopping lists in Dutch always respond with recipes. I really hope this is fixed soon.

There is a workaround. Say "ok google, add to shoppinglist". Google will ask you what you want to add. Whatever you reply will be added. Worked for me. But i hope google will fix it soon, behalve the workaround takes longer.

I've sent a message to the Belgian Google spokesman on Monday. Not sure whether it is related, but today my Google hub listens to the usual shopping list commands again. Problem fixed!

Hi,
I m also from Belgium and it doesn t work as well. I don t seem to find where you can contact people from google. I only see a chat service but they keep on saying turn on personal results (which are turned on) and it s still not working on google nest. Only works on my phone

I referred to the (press) spokesman for Belgium, he is on Twitter but since he is not a support line in any way, I won't share his details here. It's not like he answered my message either, it just struck me that it was fixed two days after I sent him a message. I'm using a Google Nest Hub Max and it is now working there.

Yes but now another problem: 🤔🙄
I've got a Google Shopping List shared with my wife and I, and we want to add another person. Since they've moved to the new layout (last month or so?) I am not able to add new people to the list. When I click the 'share' button, it shows the current collaborators and a field to add a new person, but when I type in the email address and either hit 'save' or 'enter', the window just disappears. Happens on any platform/browser I have.
Is it just my accounts/list that have gone wonky, or is this experienced by all?
This is a message from reddit, I have the same problem...

Same problem over here
03-31-2022 04:28 AM
You have a different problem with the shoppinglist. It's better to open a new topic with your specific issue. The issue I had with the shopping list (not possible to add items via Nest audio) has been solved.
03-31-2022 06:44 AM
Same here, also in Dutch

Hey folks,
It looks like we have come to a solution so I'm going to be locking this thread. If you have any other concerns or questions, please feel free to create a new thread.
Have a great day.
