Its saying my phone isn't connected to the same internet as the Google Home Mini, how do i fix this?

I've tried factory resetting, re-downloading the app, and closing out of it, even though I'm connected to the same internet as it it is saying I'm not.

Thank you for your message. I understand your frustration of not being able to connect your phone to your Google Home Mini. I would be more than happy to help to your get your device connected and working. First, I have some questions to get a better understanding of this situation.
  • Is your phone saying you are connected to the same WiFi? Or is it your Google Home Mini saying that message?
  • Which device is not connecting, the phone or the Google Home Mini?
  • Are you seeing this error in the Google Home App?
  • Is this first time you are setting up your Google Home Mini?
  • Is your Google Home Mini powering on and working normally?
  • Have you tried connecting to a mobile hotspot or other WiFi service? Does the same error occur?
  • Just confirming, did you Factory Data Reset the Google Mini device?
