By ending IFTTT support for variable phrases, Google has killed the Google home assistant. I'm disgusted. If only they'd at least introduce a new alternative, but nowhere. I don't get it!

Hey quad8,
We understand what you feel. IFTTT is a separate company from Google. You can create your own voice commands for Google Home or the Google Assistant on your mobile devices with IFTTT. Together, the custom phrases and actions are called Applets. Please visit this link for more information about the changes.
Hope this helps.

If I want to set the thermostat to a certain temperature, I have to create a separate applet for each degree I made. So in the end I'll need hundreds of applets for a smart home... Like I said, I don't understand your decision. Maybe it's time to look for an alternative to Google's smart assistant...

I could understand ending IFTTT if you came up with your own alternative. Not like this. Unfortunately, too bad for us, your customers, but also for you. Alternative assistants are...
