When I ask Google Nest to turn on or off lights linked via my Smarthub, it does so fairly quickly. But then at least 30 seconds later I hear "hmm something went wrong. Try again later".
This gets pretty darned annoying! And it may be even a minute or longer for this odd message.
Did something really go wrong? If so, what?
And yes I have tried unplugging, though not the reset button.

Mine is doing the same thing on the hub and hub max, but the mini is working fine. It will also randomly say something went wrong even when I'm not triggering it at all. The functions are working as intended. This has been since the update to Fuscia. Seems to be worse in the last couple weeks. Power cycle has not fixed it. Not a wifi issue. Every other device in the house works fine.

Pretty lame... I suppose some completion status to the Google server may fail, causing the error message. But regardless, it is not a helpful message and is totally annoying. Especially irritating when I have guests, turn on a light, and then a minute later our conversation is interrupted by this silly message! I have to tell them that I don't have a "smart house", rather I have a stupid house!

Hey folks,
Sorry to hear that you're having issues with Google Nest Hub. A few questions: when did the issue start? Which Nest Hub device do you have (Nest Hub 1st gen, 2nd gen, or Nest Hub Max)? What is the current firmware version of your device? How far is your Nest Hub from the router?
Please try doing a sequential reboot and make sure that your speaker and router is within 15-20 ft. away from each other to make sure that your device is getting enough signal. Reboot your Nest Hub and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi

In my art studio new this year Google Nest Audio is about 15 feet from new this year good quality Netgear router. The response to commands is usually fast, and the action is completed. I use a SmartThings hub located near my Netgear router to control my devices, and as stated, the the functions work correctly and quickly: lights are turned off or on or dimmed according to the command. Then after a delay, Google Nest may tell me that "something went wrong", although the correct function was performed. This does not happen all the time, and may not happen for a few days. But other times it happens often enough over the a couple of days to be quite annoying. My best guess is that it tries to communicate with a Google server after completing the action, but times out or fails to connect, possibly when my Internet access is a bit slow? But that is strictly guesswork, as I do not even know if Google needs to connect at the completion of a command action.

And this morning after I enter my studio:
"Hey Google turn on lights."
Nothing happens as I walk across the room. So I repeat:
"Hey Google turn on lights."
Lights all come on.
I log in to my computer, start typing, then:
"Hmm something went wrong. Try again in a few seconds" a minute after Google Nest Audio successfully turned the studio lights on."
But this first failure to turn on the lights is not typical. Generally this works on the first try, but I may still hear the error message.

I do NOT have a Google Nest Hub. I have a Google Speaker: Nest Audio
System firmware version 313652
cast firmware: 1.56.313652
It accesses my devices via a Smartthings Hub. All powered down, then up recently. No error messages lately.
