Lights panel not showing current light color

  • "Hopefully somebody can help me here because when I change the color of my lights in the color palette to blue then go back to the main screen which shows what light I'm using and what color it is, there are six little color palettes to adjust the coloring of the light color. These pallets should be in the same color field as the color I'm using but they don't change they remain the same color as before i.e. white gamut. I've tried many variations and it still doesn't change. Can anyone explain to me if there's a step that I'm missing or what I should do? I thank you in advance.

Hi @Yogitim,

 

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand the light color display panel on the main screen does not update to show the currently selected light color when changing the light color (e.g., to blue) using the color palette. I'm happy to assist you.

Could you confirm if the issue is only visible through the Google Home app, or if the changes are not being applied to the lights themselves? Additionally, please let me know whether the option you're looking for used to work before, and what troubleshooting steps you have performed so far.

Thank you Anders. Yes the only glitch I have is just with the display panels not corresponding to the light color that I am using now. I've tried changing the main light color and the same thing happens is always the same six colors that stay on the panel they never ever change. And before the update they used to change. I've also rebooted my phone. I've cleared the cache and done all of the usual gimmicks to see if I could fix it but nothing has changed.

And I also forgot to mention that when I do touch the lighter colors in the panels to see if they'll correspond to the blue panel they don't, they switch my light to the lighter colors.

Could you confirm if you experience the same issue when accessing the display panels from a different mobile device with the same account where you have all your devices?
If the issue is only when accessing the display panels from your main mobile device, there's a possibility that the issue is more related to the app itself and the compatibility with your phone or just because of the latest software version of the app. We're always looking for ways to improve, and we appreciate your feedback to continue improving our products and meeting your needs.

I'll take a look and let you know. I'm thinking about uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, but I'm afraid that I will lose all of my pre-installed commands and habits. If I do reinstall the app, will it show up the same or do I have to reinstall all of my devices?
